Hello, I'm Bec....

Welcome to Pinch Me Beautiful! I'm new to the world of blogging, well as a blogger that is. For years I have sat on my couch reading wonderful, interesting blogs. Always admiring them and thinking “Can I start a blog? Should I start a blog?” Well, Yes I can! and YES, I DID! September 2014 saw me start my blog - and this is me!

This blog is a creative space to share my loves of Craft/DIY, Food, Photography, everyday life and my weaving creations. I am blessed with a supportive, handy, hardworking hubby and together we raise our two little peanuts. Alba who is a big girl at age four (or so she tells everyone), and little Axel who is coming up to the wonderful age of Two.

We reside on the East Coast of Australia. In a three storey beach house, yep - you read right... 3 levels. I know because I clean every part of it. But it is totally worth it because it is so beautiful with cathedral ceilings, masses of space, and maybe I’m biased but I think it's the prettiest house on the street. We head to the beach a lot so you will see constant photos of our adventures around our local area.

Currently I’m mostly a stay at home mum but I have come from the world of Real Estate and office administration roles, and just recently have casually step back into that world. I’m not a professional writer (but hey maybe now I write a blog I can call myself one haha). I’m a qualified nail technician which you would think would mean I always have beautifully manicured nails but no. When you're changing nappies, cleaning house, wiping up messes and picking up toys constantly, you break a lot of nails and chip a lot of polish. My current job status “Mum” is my best job yet and I look forward to being with my kiddies until I send them off to school.

As my blog is so fresh please check back from time to time on this ‘About’ page as I’m sure this page will be my "work on it" page.

I am a big supporter of my local businesses, designers, artists and craftsmen. If you’re a brand interested in a space to share and promote your works, I’d love to chat with you.

A note… I will only ever link to products that I genuinely like, use and that benefits everyone involved, mostly my readers. For my readers, just so you know.. If I ever accept money or am given something to review (sponsored post) or use for a giveaway for a post, I will always make a statement at the end of my post.

Would love to hear from you and work with you.

Thank you for reading this blog

Fun With Pom Poms // Lets Make A Cactus...

Seriously! How much fun are pom-poms? It doesn't matter if you're five or eighty two it's something you can make and once you've mastered the basic pom-pom you'll be able to knock this bad boy up in no time.

You're going to need a few things...
One medium sized green pom-pomOne small sized pink pom-pomOne medium sized brown pom-pomScissors Glue (I highly recommend using a hot glue gun, much easier and less messy).Cardboard egg container (to use one cup section as the cacti's little pot). Some Paint (I used gold spray paint).

Firstly cut and trim one egg cup section from the carton. Paint your egg cup container 'Pot' and leave it to dry. It should be dry by the time you have finished cutting your cactus into shape.

Make your three different pom-poms in the colours and sizes needed. (Make sure you leave the tied pom-pom strings through the centre of the pom-poms long, you'll need these to tie your pink and green pom-poms together).

The trickiest part …
