Today Was Just A Good Day....

Celebrating my day through photographs.

It was a super fun day, just the little lady and I. We've been stuck around the house either because of the rain or it's just been to stinking Hot!! So we took our chances with the weather and snuck away up the coast, to a beautiful spot I hold very dear to my heart (Norah Head), a lot of memories from my childhood at this place.

My little lady had been itching to explore the Lighthouse and so had I. Today was our lucky day, we hopped on a guided tour and it did not disappoint. Beautiful inside and out.

We then headed down the stairs on our adventure (as she was calling it) for a walk on the rocks.

Loved just spending the time one on one with Alba. She starts school in under two weeks, so I know these days are pretty special.

(Alba's gorgeous swimwear is from Bobbi Sunshine Swimwear) not sponsored, just love this lovely range of kids swimmers :)

  1. Gorgeous photos, I love, love, LOVE that one of your ring, stunning!

This is something I need to do with my biggest little love soon (maybe next weekend actually as I've been invited to a blogger thing with her), we don't get to spend much one-on-one time together and this is her last year before she heads off to school, so I really need to make the most of it.

  2. Thanks Kylie. Loving my new ring too! I bought myself a little present from 'Samantha Wills Jewellery', sometimes we just have to treat ourselves Right ;) Yeh do it, it's hard to get the one on one time. I've been lucky this last month with pre school going back early so we've been getting some time together with the little man starting two days a week. It's just been lovely xxx

  3. What a special day & lonely memories to have for the two of you. Beautiful photos too.

  7. I have a soft spot for Norah Head. My grandparents lived near there and we would go swimming and fishing there when we visited as kids. I am actually heading there in March for a wedding, I cannot wait. It is such a beautiful and untouched place. Your little Miss is adorable and it looks like a wonderful day x

    1. Oh lets do coffee (if you get time)! Isn't it just the best place! we went back again for Australia Day. Cant get enough. xx

Fun With Pom Poms // Lets Make A Cactus...

Seriously! How much fun are pom-poms? It doesn't matter if you're five or eighty two it's something you can make and once you've mastered the basic pom-pom you'll be able to knock this bad boy up in no time.

You're going to need a few things...
One medium sized green pom-pomOne small sized pink pom-pomOne medium sized brown pom-pomScissors Glue (I highly recommend using a hot glue gun, much easier and less messy).Cardboard egg container (to use one cup section as the cacti's little pot). Some Paint (I used gold spray paint).

Firstly cut and trim one egg cup section from the carton. Paint your egg cup container 'Pot' and leave it to dry. It should be dry by the time you have finished cutting your cactus into shape.

Make your three different pom-poms in the colours and sizes needed. (Make sure you leave the tied pom-pom strings through the centre of the pom-poms long, you'll need these to tie your pink and green pom-poms together).

The trickiest part …
