Flashbacks 5 Years Back....

It was our 5 year wedding anniversary yesterday. I can't believe it has been 5 years already. Actually what I can't believe is that we have actually been together for 13 years, since I was 18.  Time has flown past & not with out turbulence sometimes, but now we have two kids and have purchased our first house together.

Yesterday was giving me flashbacks.... Life before kids, getting engaged, our wedding, being pregnant for the first time, births, making big decisions and the "what if we did any of it any differently". So of course I did the lets take a trip down memory lane and look back at some old photos.

Those crazy little trips together - This was in Cairns. Where I ended up on a brochure for some guys fishing tour company... True story! I believe his words were, and say this with a Chinese accent "You pretty lady! I put you on brochure!" haha. Below is the picture, so next time your in Cairns.....

I'm Famous

Our first fur-baby 'Jake'. We had him the length of our relationship, sadly we had to say goodbye to the old boy just last month. We miss you and your constant whinging at the back door.

Getting engaged in Fiji. I was a little shocked by his proposal to say the least. Think I said 'Really' & 'Are you serious' about 10 times.

2009 Our Wedding, best day of my life and by far the best wedding I've ever been to. Ok I'm a little biased. But it was a fabulous country wedding, on my parents property in Gloucester with a white marquee, horse and cart, cows, and a never ending supply of alcohol.

2010 Becoming parents. Making him a dad for the first time. So lucky to have him and as the father of my babies.

I have to include a photo of this little guy. Our second fur-baby. 'Dexter' as my daughter says 'My sweetie'. Gorgeous cat. We only had him for 15 months but he'll be forever in our hearts. I still cry over this cat! (bloody ticks!)

2013 Expanding our little fan-bam to a little party of four.
So after looking back on our past together, would I change anything! Hells No! And I can't wait to see what the next 5 years brings us.
To my husband 'I love you, happy anniversary'

Do you hang out on FacebookInstagram? come over to my place say Hi and share the love.

Fun With Pom Poms // Lets Make A Cactus...

Seriously! How much fun are pom-poms? It doesn't matter if you're five or eighty two it's something you can make and once you've mastered the basic pom-pom you'll be able to knock this bad boy up in no time.

You're going to need a few things...
One medium sized green pom-pomOne small sized pink pom-pomOne medium sized brown pom-pomScissors Glue (I highly recommend using a hot glue gun, much easier and less messy).Cardboard egg container (to use one cup section as the cacti's little pot). Some Paint (I used gold spray paint).

Firstly cut and trim one egg cup section from the carton. Paint your egg cup container 'Pot' and leave it to dry. It should be dry by the time you have finished cutting your cactus into shape.

Make your three different pom-poms in the colours and sizes needed. (Make sure you leave the tied pom-pom strings through the centre of the pom-poms long, you'll need these to tie your pink and green pom-poms together).

The trickiest part …
